Sheila Rogan Monro

Sheila Mary Rogan Monro died Wednesday, September 17, 2014. Daughter of Mary Agnes Harrigan Rogan and Harry Rogan, she was born on November 20, 1941 in Detroit, MI.  There she attended Blessed Sacrament and Wayne State University.  She worked for American Airlines and met her beloved husband of 47 years at an airline event.  After living in Detroit, Chicago, Washington DC, San Antonio, and Memphis, they settled in Savannah which has been their home for 36 years.  Sheila was an avid swimmer and world traveler.  She was very active in several bridge clubs and garden clubs and she was a wonderful cook!  She leaves her husband, George N Monro IV, a daughter, Michelle Monro Lucento (husband Tony), a son, George N Monro V, and two granddaughters, Gabriella and Eliana Lucento, all of Savannah, GA.

A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Islands Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.

Remembrances in lieu of flowers can be made to Hospice of Savannah.
